Waffle Lamp

The glass brick, commonly used in Soviet-era architecture, from its low cost and high insulating properties.  Scattered around Poland, housed within bus stops, apartment buildings and industrial factories. The brick is often associated with the era of communism for many Polish people. With this lamp, I wanted to acknowledge the history, but also frame and highlight the beauty within the glass brick, or also known as 'Luksfera' in Polish.
